Treatment Overview
Skin toning is a procedure that uses pigment-treating lasers of various wavelengths to manage pigmentation disorders—such as melasma, freckles, and hyperpigmentation—in a step-by-step process. Treatment is customized on a one-on-one basis to address pigmentation not only on the skin’s surface but also in its deeper layers, taking into account skin type as well as the cause and nature of the pigmentation.

Melasma
It is caused by excessive production of melanin and primarily affects women in their 20s and 30s and older; it often appears around the eyes, on the cheekbones, at the temples, and along the jawline.
Blemishes
This is a pigmentary disorder that occurs after prolonged sun exposure, dermatitis, or folliculitis. It is caused by melanin pigment migrating into the dermis or being produced in excess following an inflammatory reaction.
Hyperpigmentation
Uneven distribution of melanin pigment causes mottled brown spots, which vary in color and shape.
Borderline nevus
This condition occurs when melanocytes cluster at the junction between the dermis and the epidermis, appearing as spots ranging from 1 to 5 mm in size and varying in color from light brown to black.
Complex Nevus
A condition in which cells form clusters at the junction between the epidermis and dermis; the surface may appear smooth or wart-like, and may sometimes be hairy.
Intradermal Nevus
These lesions are characterized by the fact that all of their cells are located deep within the dermis; they are raised, hemispherical in shape, and vary in color from skin-toned to black.
